HILLDALE

The Hilldale Mall project began as a call for artists to design and paint one mural on a 600 square foot wall. It eventually turned into two walls (and murals) of a combined 2000 square feet. Both murals were designed to put city pride on display as well as provide a backdrop for visitors’ social media posts. These locations have become very popular destinations and have been used as a backdrop for photos of high school sports teams, offices, car dealerships, holiday greeting cards and many many instagram and Facebook posts!
Brian made to-scale physical mock-ups of the murals before he began.

The base color is sprayed!

Deep joints make for tedious painting.

Pouncing the final panel.

The MADISON, before all the joints were filled in.
The skyline laid out as a pattern.
There was a LOT of masking for this mural.
So grateful for the help.
Painting the details of the skyline.
A nice perspective from atop the parking garage.
